wow, that sure is ugly...

Regardless of the science of renewable energy of all different types, and the public opinion and policies thereof...

I've gotta say that this wind farm sure does make that ridge awfully damn ugly...

Not really.

The constant low-frequency noise (and so-called "infrasound") near/in-the-neighborhood of modern wind turbines is being studied for the health risks to people living nearby.

The installation of wind turbines is limited to specific locations, and can be an unreliable/uneconomic process for producing power in colder climates (de-icing anyone?).

The power produced by wind turbines is on the order of 1 MW. Power produced by pressurized-water reactors (PWRs) is on the order of 1000 MW. You need 1000x turbines to equal a single nuclear power plant... that's 1000. You might be afraid of big, bad, scary nuclear power, the reality of delivering power to hungry consumers of electrical power... requires large power output.

Your fear of the unknown catastrophe - does it keep you from boarding airplanes too?

i think it's better than a nuclear power plant too.

but we can discuss the why's later if it so happens to come up.
