That's been in cans for a while, yes?

I just found out today that St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout is still available. The last I heard of it was the last time the brewery in downtown Ann Arbor on State Street carried it. (The Irish pub next to Amer's--what's it called?) I figured the brewery went out of business.

Nope. Still around. Special ordered a large quantity which will be arriving just days before M & I head overseas.

This evening I tried the first bottle of a chocolately stout called [something] Victory [something]. Very strong flavor, not a sipping brew, but interesting. Roughly the bear equivalent of Cotswold cheese.

More on this later.

hell, I don't know... I hadn't seen it before, thus my surprise/delight. It's not a profound sense of wonder or anything, just spontaneous delight.

Ashley's is on State St., Red Hawk is next to Amer's, Connor O'Neil's is the Irish Pub, ABC is the brewery. methinks you've been away long enough that the bee establishments are merging into one far away Oort Cloud of beer.
